2024 1 oz Silver American Eagle NGC MS70 Early Releases – Trump
American Silver Eagle bullion coins are very popular among collectors. There are many hundreds of different images used on the graded versions of these coins. Among the numerous inserts that the major grading services use on their graded coins, famous people are often displayed. This is in addition to the grade of the coin and any important designation.
This particular coin is a 2024 American Silver Eagle bullion coin. It is struck from .999 Fine Silver and weighs One Troy Ounce. It has been graded as MS70 and is housed in a Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) holder that depicts former President Donald Trump, with an American flag super-imposed behind him.
On the NGC holder insert is the grade, MS70, which indicates that the coin is mark-free. There is also a designation of being an “EARLY RELEASE” coin. The “EARLY RELEASE “ designation means it was delivered to NGC for grading within 30 days of release. NGC was one of the first independent, third-party grading services and their grading is recognized and accepted worldwide.
The obverse of this American Silver Eagle depicts Adolf Weinman’s ‘Walking Liberty’ design, which was used on our silver half dollar coinage from 1916 through 1947. It depicts a rising sun with rays emanating from it. In front of the sun is a depiction of Miss Liberty walking to her right, the viewer’s left. She extends her right hand in a friendly manner and in her left arm she cradles a bundle of olive branches. “LIBERTY” is above her on the upper periphery “IN GOD WE TRUST,” is in the right field and the date is below her.
The reverse was re-designed in April of 2021 from the Heraldic Eagle design which was called the called Type I coin or they could be the newer design created by artist Emily Damstra, called the “Flying Eagle” design and later in 2021. These coins depict an American Bald Eagle flying and about to land. These are called the Type II design, which carries all of the typical mottoes and denomination.
