The American Silver Eagle bullion coins were enacted into law in 1985 and first struck in 1986. By 1995, the coins had 10 years to achieve popularity with US and worldwide collectors and investors and the more than achieved that goal. They became extraordinarily popular with dealers and retail customers alike.   The American Silver Eagle program offers One Troy Ounce coins that were struck in .999 Fine Silver. The coins are struck in both Brilliant Uncirculated bullion coins as well as Proof collector coins.   The obverse of these coins utilized the Adolph Weinman design for the Walking Liberty half dollar struck between 1916 and 1947. The coin displays the word “LIBERTY,” at the upper periphery, “IN GOD WE TRUST,” on the open field to the right, and the date of striking below Miss Liberty.  As on the circulating Walking Liberty half dollar, Miss Liberty is garbed in flowing robes with an American flag around her shoulders. She is walking to the viewer’s left, her right arm is outstretched and her left cradles olive branches. She is walking in front of a radiant sun with rays emanating from it.   The reverse of this coin depicts a Heraldic Eagle as designed by John Mercanti, the then-Chief Engraver of the US Mint. The eagle is in the center and its wings are displayed facing upwards. In one talon are arrows and in the other is an olive branch. There are 13 five-pointed stars arranged above the eagle. There is a phrase “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” on the upper periphery and “1 OZ. FINE SILVER  -  ONE DOLLAR,” on the bottom periphery.  This is a 1995-P American Silver Eagle bullion coin. It has been graded as “MS69” by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). Coins graded by NGC are highly respected around the globe as it is one of the major companies that authenticates, grades, and encapsulates coins. The MS69 grade designation means that this coin is one small point away from perfection.  Simply click the “Add to Cart” button now or call 1-866-827-4314 to speak        to one of our highly trained numismatists, who will be very happy to assist you.
