1880 Morgan $1 NGC MS63

I purchased a CAC graded Peace dollar. The coin was shipped in about a week but the package included the wrong coin, a Morgan dollar instead of the Peace dollar. Mind you, graded coins have serial numbers which can be traced so it was easy for them to determine that they had, indeed, sent me the wrong coin. I was then asked to send it back with a promise that the coin will be replaced and return shipping will be refunded. I sent the coin back and after receiving the wrong coin back, they shipped the right coin to me. I am still awaiting a refund for the cost of shipping the wrong coin back to them. In the end, it took more than 3 weeks to receive the coin I had actually ordered, there was hassle of packaging and returning the coin, and I am still waiting on a refund for the return postage. They showed zero trust in me, waiting until they had received the wrong coin back before shipping out the right coin to me, did not provide pre-paid return postage and are making me wait to get the postage refunded. Of course, there is zero compensation for the delay and hassle caused by their mistake. So if you are asking me if I will ever order from them or recommend them to friends, you may guess my answer.

Great product, price and service!!!
In 1873, the Coinage Act of that year eliminated the silver dollar coin and prohibited the exchange by silver miners of raw silver into silver dollar coins struck by the Mint. The idea was to encourage the use of gold dollars and to back America’s currency by promoting a gold standard.
Five years later, in 1878, the Bland-Allison Act legislation was passed, and it restored the silver dollar coin, and the act mandated that the Secretary of the Treasury be required to purchase $2 million dollars of newly mined silver from Western silver mines, every month.
These new silver dollar coins were struck from 1878 through 1904. They were struck for one additional year in 1921, as there was a silver shortage after World War I.
New coin designs for these new silver dollar coins were needed. George T. Morgan, who was the Assistant Chief Engraver of the United States Mint, created both the obverse and reverse designs for these new coins.
His obverse design depicted the profile of a mature Miss Liberty, facing to the left. She wore a Phrygian cap on her head, as well as a crown made of cotton and wheat. Additionally, she wore a headband upon which displayed the word “LIBERTY.” The upper periphery displays “E PLURIBUS UNUM.” The date of striking was placed on the lower periphery. In between that motto and the date were thirteen six-pointed stars – seven on the left side, six on the right.
His reverse design for this new silver dollar displayed a large American Bald Eagle, facing to the left, and the eagle’s wings are outstretched and raised upward. The motto, “IN GOD WE TRUST,” is positioned between the eagle’s wings. The eagle is centered within an olive wreath. It holds three arrows in one talon, and an olive branch in her other. On the upper periphery is “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” and the denomination “ONE DOLLAR,” is displayed on the lower periphery.
This coin was dated 1880, and it was struck at the Philadelphia Mint, so there is no mintmark underneath the eagle. The Philadelphia Mint struck t 12,600,000 silver dollar coins during that year.
This coin is graded as MS63 by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC), one of the three most popular and desirable grading services in existence.
