Golden State Mint created its U.S. 250th Anniversary Collection specifically for the 1776–2026 milestone, offering the design in multiple silver and copper formats. This 2 oz version is privately minted and is not affiliated with the United States Mint or issued as legal tender. Its value is based primarily on its two troy ounces of .999 fine silver, along with its commemorative appeal.
Design
The obverse features a detailed arrangement of American landmarks and historical symbols, including the Statue of Liberty, Liberty Bell, Mount Rushmore, and U.S. Capitol. The inscription 250 YEARS appears above the imagery, while UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the anniversary dates 1776–2026 frame the design.
The reverse depicts a bald eagle with outstretched wings holding an American flag while perched atop a pillar. A banner across the pillar reads VIGILANCE, while the words HONOR, COURAGE, INTEGRITY, and PERSEVERANCE surround the design. The round's two troy ounce weight and .999 fine silver purity are also displayed.
