The obverse of all 2017 1 oz. British Silver Britannia features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. This image is occasionally updated in order to better reflect her current age. The reverse depicts Britannia, goddess of Britain. She stands along the island’s southern coast and look out across the English channel, holding her trident in one hand and her shield in the other.
