super easy. very good site setup to navigate. I would have liked an email product was shipped. The package was just laid on the front porch. Thankfully I was only away from my home for a short period. Product was perfect. Thank you.

Introduction

The 1875-CC $20 Liberty Gold Double Eagle NGC MS60 CAC is a standout rarity from the storied Carson City Mint. Surviving examples in Mint State condition are exceptionally scarce, and CAC approval places this piece among the most desirable for collectors seeking originality and strong eye appeal.

History

The Carson City Mint operated from 1870 to 1893, striking coinage that has become synonymous with the American West. The 1875-CC Double Eagle is one of the most historically significant issues of the era, produced during a period of expanding commerce driven by mining, railroads, and frontier growth. Low survival rates—especially in Mint State grades—elevate the rarity of this certified example.

Design

Designed by James B. Longacre, the obverse features Liberty wearing a coronet inscribed with “LIBERTY,” framed by thirteen stars representing the original colonies. The reverse displays a powerful heraldic eagle clutching arrows and an olive branch, symbolizing readiness and peace. The iconic “CC” mintmark below the eagle sets this issue apart, marking its origin from one of America’s most legendary mints.

A LITTLE STICKER MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE.

Within each number of the coin grading scale is a small range of condition from low-end to high-end. Certified coins of the same grade can be of varying quality. Many of today’s collectors want coins that are solid or premium quality for their assigned grade. CAC holds coins to a higher standard so you can be confident in the value of yours. We verify previously graded coins … and award our sticker only to those coins that meet the standard for today’s selective buyer.

WHAT THE CAC STICKER MEANS:

  • Verified. Your coin has been verified as meeting the standard for strict quality within its grade.
  • Guaranteed. CAC stands behind our verification.

THE CAC STICKER IS BACKED BY EXPERIENCE.

CAC was founded by leading members of the numismatic community, including John Albanese, a respected authority on coin grading and the rare coin market.
